Storm Wipha, the third storm of 2025, entered the East Sea on July 19, 2025, reaching a peak intensity of level 12-13 (118-133 km/h), with gusts up to level 15. Moving west-southwest at 20-25 km/h, it is expected to enter the Gulf of Tonkin on July 21 and make landfall in the provinces from Quang Ninh to Nghe An on July 22, bringing strong winds, heavy rainfall of 200-600 mm, and a high risk of flooding.
CONINCO 3C Joint Stock Company, with numerous projects underway across Vietnam, particularly in storm-affected regions such as Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, and Nghe An, has swiftly implemented response measures. These projects, encompassing critical infrastructure and residential developments in the construction consulting industry, require stringent protection against the storm’s impact.
Organize meetings to review and implement storm and flood prevention measures at project sites
To proactively address the situation, CONINCO 3C has directed all project teams to conduct comprehensive inspections and activate contingency plans ahead of Wipha’s landfall. Measures include organizing meetings with all stakeholders to discuss preparation and response strategies, reinforcing structures, securing equipment, and ensuring the safety of construction sites against strong winds and heavy rainfall. Emergency protocols have been deployed to protect lives, property, and minimize disruptions to project operations.
Conduct inspections, reinforce machinery and equipment, and secure areas of the construction site
The company has mandated close communication and regular reporting from all project sites to headquarters regarding storm preparedness efforts. Project managers are responsible for providing updates on safety measures, infrastructure conditions, and the well-being of workers and employees. These efforts aim to minimize losses to life and property, ensuring the safety and livelihood of the workforce. CONINCO 3C remains committed to upholding its spirit of responsibility and resilience, safeguarding its personnel and contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam’s construction industry.
