Consultancy and Verification of Basic Design and Technical Design of Project: Da Nang Solid Waste Incineration Plant October 13, 2021

On December 29, information from the Department of Planning and Investment of Da Nang City said: The City Council has decided to invest in the project of a solid waste treatment plant of 1,000 tons/day and night at the treatment complex. solid waste in the form of PPP.

Da Nang has approved the project of a daily-life solid waste treatment plant of 1,000 tons/day to reduce the problem of waste and environmental pollution for the city.

Accordingly, the daily-life solid waste treatment plant of 1,000 tons/day and night at the solid waste treatment complex of Da Nang city (Hoa Khanh Nam ward, Lien Chieu district) will treat domestic waste after completion. By burning method, after burning, electricity, fly ash and kiln slag are obtained to produce unburnt bricks. Organic humus is recycled and produced into organic fertilizer. Plastic waste is recycled into plastic granules…

The project has an area of ​​29,059m2; in which the factory construction area is 12,597m2. Total investment is expected to be 823.5 billion VND. The project contract period shall not exceed 25 years from the date the investor signs the contract with a competent state agency. In which, the project implementation period should not exceed 2 years.

To ensure the city's daily-life solid waste treatment progress to 2023, the City People's Committee directed the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to urgently coordinate with relevant units to study and propose detailed progress on basis to minimize the time. 

Accordingly, it is expected to organize the formulation and submission of investment projects for approval in the first quarter of 2021; prepare bidding documents, advise on bidding no later than the third quarter of 2021 to soon start construction of a daily-life solid waste treatment plant with a capacity of 1,000 tons/day. 

For the project of Da Nang solid waste incineration plant to generate electricity (capacity of 650 tons/day) of Vietnam Environment Joint Stock Company, the company has completed the procedures for technology appraisal; determine the provisional unit price; planning scale 1/500; make plans on alignment of water intake works; elaboration, appraisal and approval of environmental impact assessment reports; supplement to the national electricity development planning.
